About CalculateWise

What we do

CalculateWise is a small collection of everyday calculators for money, business, dates and time. Each one is built around a single published formula, printed on the page so you can verify the answer instead of trusting a black box.

How results are computed

Everything runs in your browser as pure JavaScript. There is no backend calculation service, no queue and no account. That means results appear as fast as you can type, and the numbers you enter never leave your device.

Every formula is covered by deterministic checks against known reference values. For example, a $20,000 loan at 5% over five years must produce a $377.42 monthly payment and a final balance of exactly zero on row 60 of the amortization schedule.

Privacy and tracking

Analytics and advertising scripts do not load until you explicitly allow them in the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Dates of birth, salaries, loan balances and every other input stay in memory in your browser only.

Currency display

The currency selector changes the symbol and number formatting for USD, CAD, GBP, EUR and AUD. It does not convert between currencies — no exchange rates are applied anywhere on the site.
